My name is Ashton
I've lived in Utah my whole life. I have a wonderful family and married my husband, Erik Baker, in 2019 for time and all eternity. I work as a stay-at-home mother to two beautiful girls, Emma and Harper, and I have always dreamed of that, plus being a published author.

I have not selected a single genre for myself. They all have something to give me, from children's stories to horror/thriller.

When I get in the zone, when the words flow without hesitation from brain to paper, I feel a sense of release. I get why people say writing is an escape. Even though my life is wonderful, even I want to journey somewhere else that exists inside of myself.

I self-published a novel in 2014 that I haven't read since, and all I can say is that I hope that I've grown as a writer. My journey constantly feels as if it's just beginning, and it's exciting that, no matter how long I've claimed the title of writer, I can start fresh with every new story.

At the end of the day, no matter where I'm at in my journey, I write because it's fun. I love it. And it's important to spend time doing what you love.
